Rubí PED

This use case describes how the Rubí PED project plans flexibility, shared self-consumption, and 100% renewable charging by integrating public buildings, municipal photovoltaics, charging points, energy communities, and climate sensors. Through Empower-X, actors share data under common governance and execute algorithms via Compute-to-Data to enable real-time prediction, ZEAC calculation, digital twin simulation, surplus optimization, and coordinated flexibility management, with access to energy, climate, and mobility datasets, forecasting and certification algorithms, Web3 policies, and DLT auditing.

Pumping stations and water-related infrastructure

Monitor and optimize energy consumption of drinking water and wastewater pumping stations. Through Empower-X, municipal managers can integrate electrical consumption data, flow rates, and pressure metrics to analyze operational efficiency patterns. Using Compute-to-Data, predictive maintenance algorithms and anomaly detection are executed without exposing sensitive critical infrastructure data, ensuring data sovereignty while optimizing energy costs and preventing supply failures.

Underground waste container systems

Energy-efficient management of underground waste container systems through IoT sensor integration. Fill level, temperature, and location data are combined with collection route information to optimize vehicle fuel consumption and compaction energy.
